Our History
Orazio Spanesi started off his life in the industry as a panel beater and in 1969 founded his bodyshop that still works today with a team of 12 qualified technicians.
By the early 1980’s he had begun inventing and producing equipment for colleagues, using his understanding and knowledge to provide the ultimate solutions for body repair. By 1989 Spanesi had established full scale production of crash repair systems in a purpose built factory adjoined to the Spanesi Bodyshop. Equipped from an early stage with precision laser cutting and robotic welding equipment, quality was assured from day one. The unique industry understanding of Spanesi as body repairers as well as equipment manufacturers has led to a market leading position worldwide with 68 distributors spanning the globe.
Spanesi Automotive Equipment ltd was formed at the start of the new millennium and since then has become the fastest growing brand of crash repair equipment in the UK. We are able to provide a complete service to your customers and offer a range of equipment suitable for all sizes of business, from independent garages and bodyshops through to large franchise operations.
The Spanesi Automotive portfolio has evolved to meet the needs of an ever changing and more demanding market, and one of Spanesi’s aims is to be a source of education, information and knowledge.
